This is a lovely piece of weaving.

The threads would have been pre-dyed to different shades of blue in Japanese indigo and it’s clear that the darker blue must have had a lot of dips!

The cotton is slightly heavier but it would make a nice base for a sewing project…

It has broad stripes in two shades of indigo blue.

There are a few holes, see picture. But I always see these as a startting point for a bit of mending, which just makes the piece even more interesting.
