Soft indigo dyed kasuri piece with a stripy brown fabric patch mend on the back.

The patch is much larger than it needs to be cover the small hole on the front.

It may well have been added to also add some warmth as part of a larger piece of Boro fabric.

The patch is stitched on using rows of “Nami nui” running stitch, which was typically used for these kinds of mends.

The stitching is impressively small and neat and extremely hard to see from the front.

The kasuri (indigo, space dyed threads set on the warp and weft) is simple but very nicely done and the fabric is free of any stains.
