This is a lovely raw silk vintage Japanese kimono silk loop scarf with soft colours of shades of brick red and pink.

The raw silk is the initial form the silk takes when spun from silk worm cocoons. This is because it still has a natural protective layer of sericin on it. It takes for a slightly coarser texture and a matte finish but has its own beauty and is more durable than processed silk as a result.

The scarf depicts spiky looking bushes in a landscape. It has a simple report but looks very smart on.

It can be worn as a single or double loop and can be worn as a pull through as well making it very versatile..
