Join me for an online class to learn Japanese Kogin counted thread embroidery and stitch one of a number of traditional Modoko and border patterns using this traditional Japanese embroidery technique.

Price includes a two hour online workshop with Romor Designs and a kit:

Kit includes:

  • White or Black Kogin openweave fabric (approx 20cm x16cm)

  • 15m skein black, white, or dark blue Kogin thread

  • Kogin needle

  • Modoko Kogin patterns (Tekonako “butterfly”, Neko no managu “Cat’s eye”,

    Utakogata “Scale pattern”, Yokko gori “Group of four”; Border patterns (Nokogiri no ha “Saw’s teeth”, Gazashi “Moth stitch” and Tate waku “Rising steam”)

Please note: The Kogin fabric will be zigzag hemmed by me on my sewing machine to prevent fraying.

I may swap fabric and/or thread colour if supplies are short in one of the colours shown, although every effort will be made to provide you with the colour you requested.

IMPORTANT! Please note: I don’t post instructions with the kit as you will be taught the techniques when you book your online Kogin embroidery class

Postage and packaging included. Kit will be sent by Royal Mail, first class.

You will receive an email from Rob at Romor Designs listing available dates for you to join the online class. You will need to reply stating which class you wish to join. Your name and email address will be used to book you a place via Eventbrite and you will then receive an email from there confirming your attendance. Further joining instructions will be provided prior to the class.

IMPORTANT!! DO NOT book the class via Eventbrite! You have paid for it with your kit. I simply need to know which date and time you would like to attend.
