Teal green and gold bomaki shibori lampshade

I know we aren't supposed to have favourites but...

I just love the marriage of myrobalan and indigo. Colours can vary a bit but the teal colour always comes through.

This rich teal green and gold marbled effect Shibori lampshade is part of the Bomaki collection from Romor Designs.

It is handmade using vintage French linen carefully compressed using bomaki shibori and then dyed in Myroblan. The fabric was then overdyed with natural indigo to achieve the rich teal green overtones on top of the gold from the Myrobalan.

All fabrics used are handmade by the maker. This is a one of a kind piece, no-one else will have one that is exactly the same.

* Please note: Due to the handmade nature of this item the exact pattern and colour you receive will be similar to but not exactly the same as the one you see featured.

This lampshade would be ideal as a pendant light taking centre stage in your living room, dining room or bedroom or on a stylish lampbase anywhere you need light and colour in your home.

Interesting dyeing fact: Myrobalan was a bit of a game changer when it came to dyeing, increasing the range of colours that cotton in particular could be dyed.
